A highly-enjoyable interactive place : immerse yourself in history during your visit by following the interpretative trail to discover the abbey, the legend of Avitus, how the canons lived and how the landscape has changed down through the centuries. Unlock the abbey’s secrets and relive this extraordinary village’s eventful history.
Travel through time to the Middle Ages...
Discover how canons and illuminators lived. Young and old alike are invited to reproduce medieval calligraphers-illuminators and sculptors’ techniques and take their creations home at the end of the day. Slip into the shoes of Saint Avit by taking part in a guided tour, wearing historical costumes. Fun-filled and cultural activities proposed by the Au Fil du Temps Association (“Over Time”).
