The church is in Plantagenet Gothic style. It was built in the 13th century, with ribbed vaults and a robust square bell tower on the north side. A covered way allowed communication from the north tower to the south tower, destroyed in the 19th century. These towers served as a reserve in case of attack. The church was ruined during the Wars of Religion and major work was undertaken in the 19th century.
The church is oriented East-West. The western façade is the part of the church that best recalls the state of art in Périgord in the 1300s.
The building was listed as a Monument Historique in 2013. The stained glass windows are exceptional, they were placed around 1886. Made by the Bordeaux master stained glass artist Henri Feur, you will see different themes: the life of Christ and the Virgin Mary: the crowning of the Virgin Mary, the Annunciation, the Baptism of Christ, the Holy Family, the marriage of the Virgin Mary....
