Some History...
This castle dates from around the 12th century. The castle belonged to the bastide of Beaumont and then became part of the barony of Gontaut-Biron in the 14th century.
Composed of two enclosures and a square, crenellated keep, it was pillaged and its stones were used to build the surrounding houses.
The castle was listed as a historical monument on 13 January 1948.
