Lalinde

Formerly animated by river transport, the first English bastide in the Périgord has kept its vocation as a trading town and stopover between Bergerac and Sarlat...

Some history first

Historically a bustling river transport town, this first-ever English governed bastide in the Périgord has pursued its vocation for trading and as a stopover town between Bergerac and Sarlat. Located along the banks of the Dordogne River, it invites you to explore its various tracks and trails or to enjoy a picturesque tour along its towpaths, on foot or on a bike.

Why not take time out and observe the swans along the Dordogne River or climb up to Saint-Front’s Chapel and get a bird’s eye view over the town. Be charmed by the Legend of the Coulobre, this dragon hiding in the depths of the river…
